The family-run, owner-managed company Deuerer began life as a medium-sized butcher and started specialising in the development, production and marketing of dog and cat food 26 years ago. Our innovative products, cutting-edge production and logistics facilities and the resulting first-rate performance have made us one of Europe’s market leaders.

1961
Bucher’s shop of the same name opened by Elfriede and Helmut Deuerer.
1979
First meat-processing and sausage factory Nationwide distribution commences throughout Germany.
1980
Son Hans-Jürgen Deuerer joins the company.
1988
Production expanded to include cat and dog food.
1998
Product innovations: cat food in stand-up pouches and sticks for cats and dogs.
2000
Multi-packaging of pouches and trays.
2001
Company renamed “Tiernahrung Deuerer GmbH”, ongoing expansion and modernisation.
2003
Product innovation: dual-textured food in trays.
2005
Site expansion: packaging and logistics centre in Gondelsheim.

ISO 9001, IFS and BRC certification.
